Summer Updates ⛱️
Hi guys! It’s been a while since I’ve sent a newsletter, so we have a bunch of exciting news to cover! I wrote down a list so hopefully I don’t forget anything this time :)
Upcoming Anthologies
I have 2 pieces coming out with CLC Press this year! This month, Boy Meat, a charity antho will be out. And then just announced today, Tales of the Tongue! The kickstarter for that one will launch next week and we have tons of exciting stuff planned. Everyone involved in both is so talented and we can’t wait to share it with you!
More info on both can be found at CLC’s social media.
Jams
As you’ve probably seen on social media, Monster Manor is hosting a summer jam on itch.io! I took May off from writing, so I’m excited to get back into things! The piece I’m working on will be the next short for my disco series. It’s expanded past my original idea, but the basic details are pool side pregnant sex but also mutual baby trapping subplot?
I am also signed up for a werewolf themed one in the fall! I’ll use that time to tackle WOJ vol. 5! Vol. 4 is mostly done but still needs a ton of editing, so I will try to get that out this summer. Which leads us to our next update…
Werewolves of Judah Omnibus Editions!
This fall/winter, the first 5 volumes of WOJ will be released as a paperback with an illustrated cover. This is the first time I’ve ever commissioned art for a cover, and I can’t wait for yall to see it. Even the sketch looks amazing! More details to come.
Sales
Monster Manor is hosting another book fair! It starts on June 12th and has 118 items for $25! Like last time, this is a great time to grab a ton of work from new to you authors at a great price.
Stuff I’ve been enjoying lately
Hockey is basically over (we as a society have moved past the need for a edm fla scf) so now I need new stuff to fill my time. I got a concussion earlier this month, so I’ve been filling my time with a ton of audio books!
Some of my favorites have been -
a miracle of their own by Keith Gave. Talks about the 1998 Olympics, the first time the games had women’s ice hockey. Before this, the US had never bested Canada for gold. Has a ton of interviews about the women, the coaches, and the aftermath of those games.
Pathogenesis: a history of the world in 8 plagues by Jonathan Kennedy. Talks about how infectious diseases have shaped human history, from the extinction of the Neanderthals and the transition to agriculture, to modern day colonization and unequal access to health care. Lately I’ve been super into medical and ecology nonfiction and this one was super good!
Sky daddy by Kate folk. This one has been on my tbr for a while and you’ve probably seen it online. It’s about a woman who’s in love with planes and wants to “get married” to one by dying in a plane crash. It’s super funny and I read it in one day.
Pre-concussion and when I’m feeling ok, I’ve also been watching some TV. My favorite show lately has been the zoo, the zoo: San Diego, and the aquarium. I watched them all on HBO max. They’re behind the scenes looks at the Bronx zoo, the San Diego zoo, and the Georgia aquarium. It’s super cool to learn about the animals as well as the people who care for them. Some of the episodes can be sad if an animal is sick, but overall I really liked it! I have a few left in the aquarium version that I’m looking forward to. My favorite part is when the penguins, otters, or seals get to wander around and visit people in their offices. Talk about a dream job.
If you’ve read all of this, thank you! I’m going to try to be more on top of social media and updates, but no promises. Anyway: cat picture for your enjoyment
